Firefighters visit Year 2

Mr Collingwood a local fire-fighter visited Year 2 as they are learning all about ‘The Great Fire of London’ in History. Mr Collingwood showed the children fire-fighters uniform and safety gear that are worn today. We talked about how fire-fighters fight fires today and how some of the ways are still the same as those methods used back in 1666.
 The children really enjoyed the visit bringing the past and the present to life.
