St Mary's School joined in with the nation's efforts to learn just a few words in a new language. The pupils already have the opportunity to learn French and Spanish as they move through Key Stage 2 but today you would also have heard Italian, Polish and Greek.
Year 4 learned a lot about Spain but the most spectacular activity must have been the "Bull Fighting" Year 2 made a flag and a flower, ate toast and assembled a jigsaw.
Kimon's mum helped Year 3 to learn some Greek phrases. Then they learned a Greek dance and tasted olives, feta cheese and Greek yoghurt.
Year 6's Italian activities will appear here later.
Year 5's Polish activities will appear here later.
Foundation Stage and Year 1 enjoyed a French breakfast and made flags.
