The Terrible Tudors by Terry Deary
It was an interesting book because I didn't know anything about the Tudors at all. My favourite chapter was Terrible Tudor crime and punishment. The pictures are comical. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes they are sad.

George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl
George's grandma has some pretty odd views. In fact she's not a very nice person at all. She thinks caterpillars and slugs are delicious and likes to crunch on beetles best of all. I like this book because it is interesting for me. I think the age is for 9-12. Daniel 3M

Joseph, King of Dreams by Catherine McCafferty
It is a very good book because it has lots of charcters. The story is about a boy and his name was Jospeh. He had step brothers and they were nasty to him because he did not have to do work. His mother made him a rainbow coat and his brothers were mad. One day Jospeh wanted to go with them to do work but they went into a cave a Jospeh fell into a hole. The brothers left him there. He was taken to Africa to be a king. My favourite bit was when Joseph got a wife and children. Jessica - Year 3

Phoebe the Fashion Fairy by Daisy Meadows
Rachel and Kirsty rescued Phoebe from the Goblins. I liked it because it was so interesting. Amy - Year 3
Mouse Trouble by John Yeoman
A bad tempered miller is having some terrible mouse trouble. Hundreds of mice play games all over the miller's machinery and grain sacks. When the miller brings in his secret weapon - a large tabby cat - teh mice are delighted to have someone new to play tricks on. I liked it because the the mice rescued the poor tabby cat. I think Year 2 and 3 would enjoy reading it. Lindsay - Year 3
Larkspur and the Grand March by Mary Arrigan
The story is about Davy and his Aunt Becky. They like music and they want to go to the opera but they go to the zoo first and meet a lion who likes opera. I think reception will like it. Tom - Year 3
The Villainous Victorians - Terry Deary
There is a character in a chapter called Mr Peel. He thought the night watchmen in London were pretty useless at stopping the villains. So he created the police force in 1829. I liked the story. It is very funny. Charlie - Year 3
Sophie's Adventures by Dick King-Smith
Sophie is a girl who likes animals. She has twin brothers . One is called Mark and one is called Matthew. Sophie has a great, great Auntie. Sophie has a cat called Tom. It is an interesting book. Sophie is a funny character. I liked it when Sophie got a surprise from Tom. If you like animals and you are 6-7 years old I think you will enjoy it. Elise - Year 3
Kylie the Carnival Fairy by Daisy Meadows
This book is about two girls called Kirsty and rachel who are friends with fairies. When they go to the town carnival they need to help Kylie the Carnival Fairy get the three magic hats back off Jack Frost and his mean goblins. I like this book because it is funny and exciting. Alex - Year 3

Hayley the Rain Fairy by Daisy Meadows
Rachel, Kirsty and Hayley try to take the rain feather off Jack Frost's nasty goblins. They succeed but then Jack Frost himself come to find out. I like it because when the goblin is cold and wet the ducks nearly pull him out of his umbrella boat. I think Year 3 girls will enjoy reading it. Joanne - Year 3

The Big Football Collection by Rob Childs
It's all about boys called Chris and Andrew. Chris is in defelnce and Andrew is in goal and they play for the school team. I liked the bit when he scores from a corner. I didn't like the ending - it's not interesting. I think Year 4 children would enjoy reading this book. Louie - Year 3
Bill's New Frock by Anne Fine
One day Bill wakes up and finds he is a girl and his day does not go well. First mean Malcolm whistled at him and tthen everyone started pointing at him because he was in a pink dress. I liked the book because it is funny and interesting. My mum told me she liked it because she read it when she was little. Alannah - Year 3
Summer the Holiday Fairy by Daisy Meadows
The characters are Summer, Rachel and Kirsty. The goblins and Jack Frost have 3 special shells that Rachel and Kirsty need to get. I liked it because the girls get the shells back. I think it is a book for girls. Olivia - Year 3
Ruby the Red Fairy by Daisy Meadows
Kirsty and Rachel save Ruby from going into the pot. I liked Ruby because I was glued to the book but I didn't like the goblins. Kayleigh - Year 3
Fierce Milly and the Demon Saucepan by Marilyn McLaughlin
Fierce Milly is fantastic and fierce and a bit crazy. She doesn't mind getting muddy. She likes to play in the garden and splash in the mud . Fierce Milly goes to Billy's party but she doesn't have an invitation. I think Year 1, 2 and 3 would enjoy reading this book. Millie - Year 3
The Two Magicians by Valerie Appleby
The characters are called Small Magician and Large Magician. Large Magician invites Small Magician to tea. I liked it because it is colourful and it is a pop-up book. Natalie - Year 3

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by R K Rowling
I like the book because it makes me jump up and down. It is the best book in the world!. William - Year 3

The Coldest Day in the Zoo by Alan Rusbridger
The characters are a penguin and a zookeeper. There is a day in the zoo when it is very cold and the animals have to put scarves on. I like th ebook because there is a lot of animals. Gareth - Year 3
  Dougal Strikes Again by Serge Danot
The characters are Zebede, Florence, Ermintrude, Dougal, Dylan and Brian. Dougal and his friends must raise two million pounds to save the garden from a motorway. There's only one solution - Dougal must get a job. I didn't like it because it had no excitement in it and no imagination. I think this book should be for 4-6 year olds. Daniel -Year 3
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C S Lewis
The characters are Lucy, Edmund, Peter, Susan the Witch and the Beavers. I liked the part when the Witch put Mr Tumnus in prison but then he was set free. Also I liked the part when Peter and Edmund fought in the battle.

The characters are Mayzie and Herman. I love it because it is exciting.

This book is really funny. I liked it when you have to do a challenge.

Allie's Crocodile by Angie Sage.

I like this book because it is interesting and it's about a crocodile. The crocodile was found on the street. Read the book to find out what happens next. Conrad - Year 3

Someone's Nicked My Knickers by Gez Walsh.

I like this book because it has funny poems. It has funny sentences as well. Elliot - Year 3

The Revenge of the Toffee Monster by Susan Gates.

This is an exciting and scary book. I think others would like it. Harry - Year 5

My favourite book is The Werepuppy by Jacqueline Wilson. I like it when Wolfie begs for the chocolate biscuits. Children from ages 7 to 9 will like it. Joanne - Year 3

The Fire Cat by Pippa Goodhart and Philip Hurst is really good. It tells you how the Great Fire of London started. I like it because it has bright pictures. It is for 7 to 9 year olds. Harry - Year 3

I have just read Three Cheers, Secret Seven by Enid Blyton. It is about seven children who solve mysteries. Jack has an annoying sister called Susie and she gets a new plane. Susie invites the secret seven to see it fly. The plane goes over a wall and two of the boys go and get it but they find something interesting. If you enjoy mystery stories the Secret Seven will be the books for you. Vicky Year 6
Family Stuff by Bill Ledger. The book is a funny and weird book. It sounds awkward but it is quite good. I liked the parts where Anne's brother Charlie, makes up lots of funny words like plum, rum, stickle-ee-fie-fim and toppers. I think it's an interesting book. Katie Year 6
I have found that "Well Done Secret Seven" is a very enjoyable book for people who like adventure stories. They work as a team to solve all the problems. So if you like books about adventures this is the book for you. Lucinda Year 6
