Welcome to St Mary’s website which I do hope you will find interesting and informative. Through the interactive pages you will be able to celebrate with us our academic achievements and also see and hear the children participating in the varied opportunities and activities that are available at St Mary’s. Our aim is to develop in every pupil skills, knowledge and attitudes that are a firm foundation to learning, not only at school, but also in adult life. The Christian ethos of the school supports this aim and also values each individual makes to the whole community. As a school we have high expectations of all our children and each individual is encouraged to set personal challenging goals. In addition to the sound academic framework which we provide there are many opportunities for children to develop interests e.g. sport, music, art and design, through a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We believe that it is important to encourage children to learn from their environment and so there are occasions when visits are made to places of interest both locally and further afield, as well as encouraging our European links through the use of Information Technology.
