St Mary’s played Wold Newton School, Mount Pleasant School, Driffield
School, Parkside School and Bridlington School.
They won all their matches to become County Champions.
In the regional finals the team lost to a close umpiring decison in
the
semi final.

Two teams played in a tournament against St John’s School and St Nicholas’s
School at Beverley cricket club on Monday.
An improving St Mary’s 1st team reached the final and lost in a very close
match to a Y6 Team from St John’s.
St Mary’s 2nd team (mainly Y4’s) played extremely well to win a
play off for 3rd place. This was a very exciting game and was won by 3 runs!
St Mary’s played:
Northstead School, Scarborough - won by 18 runs
Farsley School,Pudsey – won by 42 runs
Archbishop School, York – won by 68 runs
Gladstone Rd School, Scarborough – lost by 6 runs
Shoreland School, Barnsley – lost by 18 runs
Churchfield School, Cudworth – won by 43 runs
St Mary’s came 3rd overall – an excellent effort and achievement for a team made up of mainly Y4’s & Y5’s and well captained by Hannah.
