Year 3 dressed as Gods and Goddesses and other characters of Ancient Greece. They read the story of Arion and the Dolphins and then wrote their own updated version.
It was characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for Year 4.

Myths and Legends from Ancient Egypt were to be found in Year 5
Year 6 stepped back over 60 years after reading The Machine Gunners.

"Today the main highlights we liked were listening to the World War 2 music and the siren. We also liked the tape on the windows and the display about World War 2 because it gave us more idea of what the atmosphere was like back then. We thought our costumes were great and they gave us a good opportunity to find out what people dressed like. Overall our group enjoyed all the activities today and won't forget all of this." Chelsea M, Robert, James C and Olivia B

"The best parts about World Book Day were the sounds and dressing up because it made it more realistic. The tape on the windows gave us an insight on World War 2 classrooms. Some of us had the experience of tasting food. It was also doing activities based on the Machine Gunners. Our day today had been educational and enjoyable." Hannah, Charlotte, Rebecca and Yasmin
