Wednesday 25th
When I first arrived at Móstoles
I met my host family at the Enrique Tierno Galvan School and went with them
to pick up the pizza for tea. After we collected the pizza we set off to their
house. After my dinner I got a tour of their house and when we went to the
bottom floor they had two computers so we decided to go on Messenger so I
could speak to my family. Later that night we all got tired so walked upstairs
and jumped into bed. The house was big and they had a pet dog called Yanka
Thursday 26th
The
morning came, me wide awake and the rest of the family downstairs making
breakfast. I went downstairs and got my breakfast and started eating. When
we all finished we got dressed and walked to the car ready for school. I
got bread and hot chocolate for my breakfast. We jumped into the car and
set off to the school. When we got to the school we got a coach to the Los
Rosales sports centre to play different sports. My favourite sports were
basketball, football and badminton. When we finished the sports we set off
in the coach to Leon Felipe School to have lunch.
Later that day all the children went to a welcoming ceremony at 2.30 at Leon Felipe School. The pupils from the different countries went to the front of the hall and were given gifts by the little children from Spain. When all the gifts were given out the pupils went back to their places. When the ceremony finished I went with Juan Jose in a coach to ETG School. There was a party that night. It was great - lots of food and lots of people. The Spanish did some dances for us. The little Spanish girls did a dance and they were so cute.
Friday 27th
When we arrived at school some friends and I went onto the playground and played catch with a tennis ball. Half an hour later children from the other school arrived and we went into the gym for a ceremony. There were flags and posters. All the countries got presented with a trophy. Then we all made an exit from the hall to a coach which was going to take us to the park so we could show the other countries our games. When we got to the park we were divided into 10 groups of twelve. My group started at Swedish football and then we went to the English sports that we brought which were parachute, cricket and skipping. When we had finished all the sports we went to go and get some lunch. We were attacked by wasps. All of the children were screaming like mad except for me, Mr Mason, Mrs Sharp, Mrs Duroe, Kate, Alex and Isabella. After we finished we went back to the coach and back to school and we met our family.
Later that day I went to Juan Jose’s football training – he was
really good. After his football we all went bowling and the scores were me
109, Juan Jose 104, his mum 85 and his dad 120 so his dad won. After we finished
bowling we had a nice meal at the restaurant next to it.
Saturday 28th
We got up extremely quickly, jumped into the car and drove to school. We
got on the coach and the journey to Madrid was about 30 minutes. On the
way to the Prado Museum we saw a lady plumbing a drain and when we walked
passed it splashed us right in the face. I was soaked. We looked at the
pictures. There were about 50,000 all painted by famous artists. Then we
went shopping in Madrid. It was great. The shops were fantastic.
The best shop I went to was the official Real Madrid shop. I got a little keyring for my friends as well as a big statue of Ronaldo. Then I went to a jewellery shop which had loads of 24 carat gold there. So I got my family 24 carat gold. Apart from my mum – I got her a leather belt. We all met back at the museum.
I went with some others to a subway so we could get a lift to the fair. At last we got there. We saw loads of people running around like maniacs. After we got settled down on a bench we went on some rides. My favourite one was the bumper cars. When we got home it was real late so I jumped into bed ready for the journey home.
I packed my bags and got ready for the journey home. My host family woke up and I said my goodbyes. I watched TV until Mr Mason came to pick me up. We met the others at school. We drove to the airport ready to fly back to England.
