Welcome to the School Productions' pages!
For the pupils and teachers one of the highlights of the school year is the year group production. The children are able to combine the skills they have learned in drama, music, PE and literacy lessons.
The first presentation of the year is the nativity play. All Key Stage 1 children work together to present the Christmas story in a variety of ways.
The Year 3 play usually gives the children an opportunity to portray one of the Greek Myths they have learned about in their history studies in the spring term.
Year 4 have recently performed works based on a book or poem that they have studied. Their plays usually contain lots of dance and movement.
The Year 5 children often don colourful costumes to relate one of the tales of Ancient Egypt but they can also be a little "experimental".
In the final week of the summer term Year 6 present a play adapted from a novel they have studied or perhaps a Shakespeare classic such as A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Recordings of all school productions are now made on dvd and are available
from the school office.
We are gradually transferring older plays from vhs
to dvd. Please ask at the office if you would like to purchase one of the past productions on dvd.
