I
am Brenda Hopkins. I have been a Governor of St Mary’s Church of England
Primary School since April 2006. I have previously been a Governor of Long
Riston Church of England Primary School and of Newland Girls School in Hull.
My full time occupation is that of Chairman of a small high tech company based on the Science Park at the University of Hull called FeONIC plc. I have lived in Beverley for 15 years and have two grown up sons.
I have been elected as a Foundation Governor to St Mary’s School and have special responsibilities for Finance as well as monitoring the spiritual ethos within the school. As a scientist I am keen to ensure that good standards are achieved in Mathematics and Science.
I am proud to be part of the corporate management team to ensure that the high reputation of the School is both maintained and at best improved.
