Monday 11th June - at the Mining Museum
| The first stop on the journey was the National Mining Museum near Wakefield. There was lots to find out about the history of coal mining. |
After going down the mine we were all hungry. There was a nice park were we could sit to eat our lunch. |
Monday 11th June at Kingswood
| Elisha is our leader. She showed us around. |
Then it was time for the first activities. Helmets on for Quads! |
Don't let go of your partner in Nightline. |
| Photography was difficult in the Laser Zone. |
Some tried Archery. |
There were some surprising results in Aeroball. |
Tuesday was a very full day with 6 different activities.
| Aeroball was probably the most tiring activity. |
But you had to have steady arms for archery. |
There was a competition to see who scored the most. |
We didn't forget to celebrate birthdays! |
| In the evening Elisha and the other leaders organised a wild disco. |
Everyone supported their friends on the way up but it the end there was only room for one at the top. |
Back on the ground the group encouraged their friends. |
Apparently coming down was the best bit. |
| It rained on Monday night so the nightline course was VERY muddy. |
This group didn't realise what was ahead! |
It was important to listen to instructions before getting on the quad. |
Everyone had lots of fun. |
A DVD of the visit will be available within the next couple of weeks.
