Adie explains about the Young Leaders course
The last four weeks have been very exciting for 18 children from Year 5. They were chosen to be a Young Leader by Mr Kellett, Mrs Kirby and Mrs Morley who all think these children would be the right ones for the job. They all were taught about safety, space and a few games by Mrs Morley who organised it all, then they all got into pairs or fours and had to learn a game in their group. After they'd learned it and practiced it they were ready to teach. So each group set out equipment ready for their game whilst one year 4 class got ready to come out to be taught the games.Finally they all had to fill in a self evaluation sheet to see what went well and what didn't. Now they'll be ready to teach lots more different games to reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4, to go with they they each got a certificate and a hat to wear when they are on duty.
