11th June Today we welcome Maria Schriefer to St Mary's School. She is a member of a group of students from Bremerhaven in Germany who are undertaking work experience in Beverley. It's particularly nice as Maria's sister Sarah visited our school in 2005.

The children ran in the school cross country to score points for their House. Stuart won the relay but who's won the trophy? We won't know until Mrs Morley adds up all the points. A DVD is available from the school office.
20th April At playtime all the pupils joined in a special skipping activity. All the children in the eight schools in our European Project were all skipping at the same time. You can see some pictures on the project website www.comeniussports.org

27th March Year 4 went to Longcroft School today to take part in a Multi Skills Festival.
27th March Two pupils holding the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Top School Award for Sport and Play St Mary's School has been presented with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Sport & Play Recognition Award for 2007. Two year 6 pupils received the plaque along with the Chairman's Award for Overall Winner in the Top School category.

20th Nov the children enjoy the selection at the new salad bar The new salad bar arrived today and was immediately very popular. The children are able to select from six salad items. "There was beetroot and lots of other things" said Sam. "There was everything that I liked" said Lucy.
